2021 Rapid Recap
What a year! Starting the year with COVID uncertainty and no shop, we spent January working to repair the flood damage. With a lot of hard work, our amazing staff gave the shop a little makeover whilst they were at it! Thankfully, our Winter Trail was all outdoors which meant we could welcome families to have some outdoor fun at the start of the month.
January also saw the opening of our innovative Drive-Thru Shop for all the essentials! It was a great success and allowed us to keep trading despite the shop being out of action.
Our Saturday Breakfast Club began in February; trading from the horsebox our customers came and indulged in our huge breakfast baps. The Shop was ready for it’s great unveiling in March, and all of our staff were so happy to welcome customers into the new space.
Our Farm Trail was allowed to reopen in line with government restrictions from 12th April and we were delighted! It was great to see everyone enjoying the attractions, a visiting fun fair and visiting the animals again.
During May we started stocking the delicious Pippin Doughnuts. They’re loved by all and are still available for pre-order to collect on the last Friday of every month…yum!
In June, our strawberries ripened, and we opened Pick Your Own Strawberries. We were so pleased to be named in National Geographic’s Top 5 PYO Farms. We added the very popular Tractor-Trailer and Quad Train rides to our trail and our Summer Trail which commenced in July in time for the summer holidays.
By August, we opened PYO Sunflowers for the very first time, it was a huge success and we saw so many of our customers sharing amazing sunflower photos across social media!
As we moved into Autumn, our focus turned to the huge preparations for Halloween and Christmas. As well as the usual day to day runnings of the Shop and the Farm we ran PYO pumpkins, Spookyard and the scarier Frightmare throughout October. Then, we organised and sold real Christmas trees and wreaths with the usual festive rush in the shop.
We couldn’t have got this far without you, our brilliant customers are the reason we’ve had such a good 2021.
Happy New Year, we look forward to seeing you all in 2022!
